S&C Design Studios continually explores all avenues of photographic art. The fine art relies exclusively on black and white photography, relying on over 30 years of traditional analog photography experience and is hand-printed in the studio’s darkroom. Alternative processes, abstract art, and mixed media are among their specialties. Their award-winning original artwork is appreciated by collectors and regularly displayed at art festivals and galleries.
About S&C Design Studios
Simply known by colleagues, clients, and friends as "S&C," Shannon and Colleen Graham have been working together as professional commercial and fine art photographers for almost 30 years. After college, the Grahams moved to New England to assist some of the best photographers in the region. When they returned to the Midwest a few years later, they opened their own commercial photography studio, S&C Design Studios, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The team focuses on advertising and fine art photography and are specialists in black and white and film photography.
The Grahams also focus on photographing and writing about the liquor and beverage industries. They often collaborate — Colleen writing (learn more at SCDrinkStudio.com) and Shannon behind the camera — for outlets such as The Spruce Eats and books like Tequila: Cocktails with a Kick, among others. The team's fine art work has been recognized and recieved multiple awards over the years. Shannon is also a professional photography instructor, teaching analog photography and darkroom techniques.
